This book focuses on tourism impacts, development, planning and policy making in South Asia. It contains eight case studies of the following countries: India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Pakistan and the Maldives. The cases demonstrate successful and unsuccessful stories in the South Asian context, along with the issues and challenges tourism planners and developers are facing.
