It covers novel polymers for drug delivery, in particular extracts from plants, microorganisms and proteins, as well as water-soluble and water-insoluble biodegradable polymers. This book contains 15 chapters, which are grouped under the following 3 main sections: drug delivery based on different classes of polymers; polymeric interaction and conjugates; and disease-specific (e.g. neoplasms, burns and wounds) drug delivery systems.
